Our COVID19 measures
In line with government guidelines Chy-an-Mor Guest House will start welcoming our wonderful guests from the 5th of July but things will be a little different. For the rest of July and August we will have a soft opening with a very limited amount of guests staying with us.
Chy-an-Mor is run by ourselves, Richard &Louise. We live on the premises and so it is very sad that we will have to keep our distance from you. Please rest assured that we have kept ourselves fully informed and up to date with UK.Gov health &hygiene procedures and advice. We have put in place the correct cleaning &hygiene procedures to protect our guests and ourselves and will ensure that the running of Chy-an-Mor complies with government guidelines. Due to the 2 metre distancing regulations we have dramatically changed our service in order for you to keep your holiday as of 5th July onwards ? this may also change pending on government announcements. Please read the following to see how we will operate:
All guests who make a booking with us will have the freedom to cancel their booking at any time up to the point of arrival and will be able to shorten their stay without loss.
We contact our guests a few days prior to arrival to check that they are all well with no symptoms and to confirm details of their forthcoming stay. We will operate the guest house at a reduced capacity and conform to government limitations on guesthouse occupancy. No walk-in visitors of any kind will be allowed for the foreseeable future.
There will be a self check in service to respect the social distancing rules. E-mails will be sent out before arrival explaining how you can collect your pre-sanitised room key.
We will have a hand sanitiser station in our porch and hallway for you to use when entering and leaving.
Room cleaning, linen and towel changes will be limited during your stay. We will offer the option of servicing the rooms for stays of 3 night or more. The porch, hallway, stairs and high touch areas will be cleaned throughout the day.
We intend to leave 30 hrs in-between arrivals during July and August. Check-ins and check-outs will be more strictly adhered to in order to allow a deep clean and 30 hour airing of the room between guests. Check in is no earlier than 4pm, check out no later than 10am.
All laundry of towels and sheets are professionally cleaned with temperatures of above 60. We have always had high standards for cleaning but these will be even more enhanced. We will wear mask, gloves and aprons during cleaning and use hotel standard disinfectant.
All food is prepared here in our kitchen on-site and only by ourselves. We do not have any employees or people coming into our kitchens from outside of our business. All food suppliers will also adhere to our strict hygiene regulations to reduce the risk of contamination
Our beautiful cooked breakfast will be available in our large dining room or we will offer a freshly prepared breakfast bag to go. But we do ask our guests to pre-order the night before and to choose a time. Unfortunately we will no longer be able to offer the buffet service, however certain items can be ordered the night before to have on your table at breakfast time.
We will have to close off our public lounge, however we do have lovely outside areas you can use and we will sanitise those areas throughout the day.
There will be a dyson air purifier on throughout the day in our hallway.
It is unfortunate that we will have to remove some of the decorative soft furnishings &items from our bedrooms (leaflets, books, etc) to prevent the risk of virus transmission. The request for dressing gowns, flannels and extra towels can be made before your visit with us.
Check-out is from a distance. We will take payment from your card the night before your departure with us. You can leave your key in a box on the hall table and wave goodbye (sorry no more hugs).

Keep to the two meter distance from other guests and ourselves.
Inform us via phone if you display symptoms during or soon after your stay with us.
If you are meeting with friends or family who are not staying with us, please do so outside of our property, including our garden.
